Use of Havening Techniques
What can Havening Techniques be used for? This list is by no means exhaustive but gives an indication of typical uses of the technique.
Easing or removing the traumatic emotion linked to a memory, the memory of the event is still present but the emotion is no longer felt.
These may include bereavement, family breakdown or relationship issues.
Fear of Future Events
Such as fear of flying, interview or examination nerves, fear of a dentist or other phobias relating to medical examinations or interventions, including MRI scans or pre-operative anxiety.
Havening Technique is helpful in improving self-confidence and self-acceptance, resulting in higher self-esteem and an increased ability to perform tasks such as public speaking without the level of anxiety previously experienced or anticipated.
Havening Techniques, on their own or in conjunction with other tools, may be helpful for weight management and pain control. The latter is something that I have experience in and a passion to develop further.
